Dinex meeting with Latvian Prime Minister, Mr. Valdis Dombrovskis

2011-11-03

It was great pleasure for Dinex Sales Director, Torben Pagh, to attend a lunch meeting in Copenhagen with the Prime Minister of Latvia, Mr. Valdis Dombrovskis.

Only five Danish companies were invited, where Dinex had a great chance of informing the Prime Minister of detailed information about Dinex' activities in Latvia.
The meeting involved a presentation of the fact that up to 10% of EURO IV/V trucks in Europe within the next years will be equipped with emission technologies produced in Latvia.

Furthermore the Prime Minister became aware of the technology transfer and start up of particulate filter assembly in Latvia.

Additionally the meeting included a discussion about the possibilities to support a Low Emission Zone in Riga on similar conditions as Copenhagen, London etc., starting with the municipality´s city buses. As Latvia, in line with many other EU countries, are exceeding the directives for clean air, Mr. Valdis Dombrovskis showed great interest to this matter.
